🔐 Assisted Login & OTP Settings

Control SRS candidate login behavior and OTP safeguards.

Service Status

Enable or temporarily pause candidate login and registration for the SRS आवेदन सेवा Application service.

Enable Assisted Login / Registration

When disabled, candidates cannot request or verify OTPs.

WhatsApp Support Contact

Set the SRS support number used by the candidate Application Status page chat button. Enter country code + mobile number, digits only (e.g. 919876543210).

This is a Click-to-Chat contact, separate from the OTP delivery gateway.

OTP Policy

These settings are validated by the backend and apply to new OTP requests.

OTP validity (minutes) — 1 to 15

Resend cooldown (seconds) — 30 to 600

Maximum incorrect attempts — 3 to 10

Account Recovery Policy

Enable account recovery

Allow users to recover their account using verified email.

Recovery OTP attempts (3–10)

Recovery resend cooldown (30–600 sec)

Recovery OTP limit per hour (1–20)

Gateway Configuration

Security: WhatsApp webhook URL and authorization token are read from backend environment variables (WHATSAPP_OTP_WEBHOOK_URL and WHATSAPP_OTP_WEBHOOK_TOKEN). Secret credentials are intentionally not displayed or stored in the admin settings database. Configure them in your server's environment and restart the backend.
